Emilien Feneuil - Les Ruisseaux 2019
Les Ruisseaux 2019 is one of the most identifiable and rare bottles signed by Émilien Feneuil, one of the most sought-after vigneron in contemporary Champagne. We are in the heart of Sermiers, Premier Cru of the Montagne de Reims, where Feneuil works micro-parcel plots with a radically artisanal, biodynamic approach of almost ascetic precision.
The lieu-dit Les Ruisseaux is a very small parcel with very high expressiveness, planted mainly in Meunier, which in the 2019 vintage - generous but perfectly balanced - yielded a deep, bright, vibrant wine.
Vinified with spontaneous fermentations, aging in neutral wood and no superfluous intervention, the wine is drawn with a dosage Extra Brut (often close to Zero) to preserve the total integrity of the terroir.
In the glass it reveals a fascinating aromatic texture: yellow citrus, white flowers, pippin apple, alpine herbs, fresh almond, with a chalky undertone and a constant mineral vibration. The mouth is surprisingly fine for a pure Meunier: juicy, vertical, rhythmic, with a masterful balance between fruit ripeness and saline tension.
Very long, pure, crystal clear finish-a hallmark of Feneuil, capable of combining extreme craftsmanship and surgical precision.
A bottle for enthusiasts, collectors and those looking for Champagnes that seem to come from another sensory dimension.
Micro-limited production. Rare to find, even rarer to drink.
