Jacquesson 742
La Cuvée 742 by Jacquesson represents one of the purest and most vertical expressions of the Maison's style. Born from the vintage 2014, this cuvée is part of Jacquesson's famous numbered series, conceived not as a commercial "non-vintage," but as an autonomous chapter, faithful to the vintage and the most rigorous production philosophy.
The blend is dominated by Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs, with a perfectly balanced share of Meunier. After meticulous vinification-with targeted use of large woods, long stay on the lees and dosage Extra Brut extremely restrained - the 742 presents itself as a Champagne taut, mineral, pure and essential, typical of the saline character of 2014.
In the glass it reveals aromas of ripe citrus, fresh almond, cedar zest, chalky notes and a delicate smoky touch. The mouth is dry, precise, sculpted: a vibrant texture, authoritative structure and a very long, almost iodized finish.
La 742 embodies the idea of high-profile artisanal Champagne:
an identity wine, sharp, uncompromising, intended for enthusiasts who seek elegance and depth rather than easy softness.
Perfect throughout a meal, extraordinary on raw seafood, steamed noble fish, soft cheeses or simply to enjoy the most authentic essence of Maison Jacquesson.
